Accessing Service Control Panels

Most services come with a control panel where you can manage your hosting environment, configure settings, and monitor performance.

What Are Control Panels?

Control panels are web-based interfaces that let you:

  • Manage files and databases
  • Configure email accounts
  • Install applications
  • Monitor resource usage
  • Adjust server settings
  • And much more, depending on the service type

Accessing Your Control Panel

  • Navigate to Dashboard → Services
  • Click Manage next to the service you want to access
  • Look for the Control Panel section
  • Click Login to Control Panel or the specific panel button

    Single Sign-On (SSO)

    Most control panels support Single Sign-On, meaning:

    • You don't need a separate password
    • Click the button and you're automatically logged in
    • Your session is secure and tied to your account
    • No need to remember multiple credentials

    Common Control Panel Types

    Plesk (Web Hosting)

    Plesk is used for shared and business web hosting services.

    Features:

    • Website management
    • File manager
    • Database administration
    • Email account creation
    • SSL certificate installation
    • Application installer (WordPress, Joomla, etc.)

    Pterodactyl (Game Servers)

    Used for game server hosting with powerful management features.

    Features:

    • Server start/stop/restart controls
    • Real-time console access
    • File management
    • Configuration editor
    • Backup management
    • Resource monitoring

    VPS Control Panels

    VPS services may include:

    • Proxmox for server management
    • Custom dashboards for monitoring
    • SSH access for command-line control

    Control Panel Credentials

    For SSO-Enabled Services

    • Simply click the login button
    • No separate username/password needed
    • Secure automatic authentication

    For Non-SSO Services

    • Credentials are shown on your service page
    • Username and password displayed securely
    • Click to reveal password when needed

    Accessing Different Service Types

    Web Hosting Services

    • Primary domain shown on service page
    • Login to Plesk button
    • Additional quick actions like Visit Website

    Game Servers

    • Server IP and port displayed
    • Login to Pterodactyl button
    • Server status indicator (Online/Offline)

    VPS Servers

    • IP address shown
    • Control panel link or SSH credentials
    • May include VNC console access

    First Time Access

    When accessing your control panel for the first time:

  • Click the control panel button on your service page
  • A new tab will open with the control panel
  • You'll be automatically logged in (SSO)
  • Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the interface
  • Check for welcome tours or quick-start guides
  • Security Notes

    • Never share control panel access with untrusted parties
    • Use strong passwords if the panel requires separate credentials
    • Enable 2FA in the control panel if supported
    • Log out when finished on shared computers
    • Monitor access logs for suspicious activity

    Troubleshooting Access Issues

    SSO Not Working

    • Clear your browser cookies and cache
    • Try a different browser
    • Ensure you're logged into your main account
    • Contact support if the issue persists

    "Session Expired" Messages

    • Return to your dashboard and click the button again
    • Don't bookmark the control panel URL directly
    • Always access through the dashboard for secure SSO

    Control Panel Offline

    • Check if your service status is "Active"
    • Verify no recent suspensions or issues
    • Contact support if the panel is inaccessible

    Mobile Access

    Most control panels are responsive and work on mobile devices:

    • Full functionality on tablets
    • Basic operations available on phones
    • Some advanced features may require desktop access
