View your payment history and transaction records

Transaction History

Your transaction history provides a complete record of all payments made on your account, including successful payments, refunds, and payment attempts.

Accessing Transactions

Navigate to Dashboard → Transactions from the sidebar to view your payment history.

Transaction List

Transactions are displayed in a table format:

Transaction Columns

Transaction ID

  • Unique identifier for each payment
  • Format varies by payment gateway
  • Used for reference and support
Date & Time
  • When the transaction occurred
  • Listed in reverse chronological order (newest first)
Gateway
  • Payment method used:
  • Stripe (Credit/Debit Card)
  • Bank Transfer
  • Other payment processors
Amount
  • Transaction amount
  • Shown in the currency used for payment
Status
  • Success - Payment completed
  • Pending - Awaiting confirmation
  • Failed - Payment unsuccessful
  • Refunded - Payment returned
Invoice
  • Link to associated invoice
  • Shows invoice number
  • Click to view invoice details
Actions
  • View Receipt - Download or print payment receipt

Transaction Status Indicators

Visual badges show transaction state:

  • Green (Success) - Payment completed successfully
  • Yellow (Pending) - Awaiting confirmation (common with bank transfers)
  • Red (Failed) - Payment did not process
  • Blue (Refunded) - Amount returned to payment method

Viewing Transaction Details

Click on any transaction to see:

Payment Information

  • Full transaction ID
  • Gateway transaction reference
  • Payment method details (last 4 digits of card)
  • Date and time stamp

Amount Breakdown

  • Payment amount
  • Currency used
  • Any fees applied
  • List of invoices paid by this transaction
  • Links to view each invoice

Payment Gateway Details

  • Gateway name
  • Gateway transaction ID
  • Payment status from gateway

Transaction Receipts

Download receipts for your records:

  • Find the transaction in your list
  • Click View Receipt
  • Receipt opens in new window
  • Print or save PDF
  • Receipts include:

    • Company information
    • Payment date and time
    • Transaction ID
    • Amount paid
    • Payment method
    • Invoices paid
    • Tax breakdown (if applicable)

    Filtering Transactions

    Find specific transactions using filters:

    Date Range

    • Select start and end dates
    • View transactions from specific time periods
    • Useful for accounting and expense reports

    Payment Gateway

    Filter by payment method:

    • All gateways
    • Stripe only
    • Bank transfer only
    • Other specific methods

    Status Filter

    • All transactions
    • Successful only
    • Failed attempts
    • Pending payments
    • Refunds
    • Search by transaction ID
    • Search by invoice number
    • Search by amount

    Understanding Transaction Types

    Regular Payments

    Standard payments for invoices:

    • New service purchases
    • Subscription renewals
    • Domain registrations
    • Upgrade charges

    Partial Payments

    When paying part of an invoice:

    • Shows as separate transaction
    • Linked to specific invoice
    • Remaining balance still due

    Refunds

    Returns of previous payments:

    • Negative amount shown
    • References original transaction
    • Returns to original payment method
    • Processing time varies by gateway (3-10 days typical)

    Failed Transactions

    Unsuccessful payment attempts:

    • Still recorded for reference
    • Reason for failure may be shown
    • Associated invoice remains unpaid
    • Can retry payment

    Payment Methods in Transactions

    Credit/Debit Cards (Stripe)

    Shows:

    • Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
    • Last 4 digits
    • Transaction ID from Stripe
    • Instant confirmation

    Bank Transfers

    Shows:

    • Bank transfer reference
    • Status: Pending until confirmed
    • Manual confirmation required
    • Updates when payment verified

    Account Credit

    Shows:

    • Credit applied to invoice
    • Remaining credit balance
    • Source of credit (refund, promotional, etc.)

    Exporting Transaction Data

    Download your transaction history:

  • Click Export button
  • Select date range
  • Choose format (CSV, PDF)
  • Download file
  • Use cases:

    • Accounting records
    • Tax preparation
    • Expense reporting
    • Financial auditing

    Disputed Transactions

    If you see an unfamiliar transaction:

  • Click to view full details
  • Check associated invoices
  • Review receipt
  • If still unclear, open support ticket
  • Include transaction ID for reference
  • Chargeback Procedure

    For credit card chargebacks:

    • Contact us first before filing chargeback
    • Most issues resolved quickly
    • Chargebacks can lead to service suspension
    • We provide documentation for legitimate charges

    Recurring Payment Tracking

    Monitor subscription payments:

    • View pattern of regular charges
    • Track renewal dates
    • Identify billing cycle changes
    • Monitor for unexpected charges

    Failed Payment Recovery

    When a payment fails:

    Immediate Steps:

  • Check transaction list for failure details
  • Review payment method is valid
  • Retry payment from invoice page
  • Use alternative payment method if needed
  • Common Failure Reasons:

    • Insufficient funds
    • Expired card
    • Billing address mismatch
    • Card declined by bank
    • Incorrect payment details
    Resolution:
    • Update payment method in profile
    • Retry from unpaid invoice
    • Contact support if issues persist

    Transaction Notifications

    Email notifications sent for:

    • Successful payments
    • Failed payment attempts
    • Refund confirmations
    • Large or unusual transactions
    Configure in Dashboard → Profile → Preferences.

    Currency Considerations

    If using multiple currencies:

    • Each transaction shows in the currency used
    • Exchange rate applied at time of payment
    • Historical transactions retain original currency
    • Current exchange rates don't affect past transactions

    Account Credits

    Credits appear in transactions:

    Credit Sources:

    • Refunds from previous payments
    • Promotional credits
    • Service credits for downtime
    • Overpayments
    Credit Usage:
    • Automatically applied to new invoices
    • Shows as transaction type "Credit"
    • Balance viewable in account overview

    Tax Records

    Transactions include tax information:

    • Tax amount charged
    • Tax jurisdiction
    • VAT/GST number (if applicable)
    • Tax-exempt status (if applicable)
    Useful for:
    • Business expense reports
    • Tax deduction documentation
    • VAT reclaims
    • Audit compliance

    Multi-Invoice Payments

    When paying multiple invoices at once:

    • One transaction covers all invoices
    • Each invoice listed in transaction details
    • Receipt shows breakdown by invoice
    • Easier than individual payments

    Payment Timeline

    Understand payment processing times:

    Credit/Debit Cards (Stripe)

    • Immediate: Transaction completes instantly
    • Receipt: Available immediately
    • Bank statement: Appears in 1-3 business days
    Bank Transfers
    • Pending: Shows as pending immediately
    • Confirmation: 1-3 business days
    • Receipt: Available after confirmation
    • Service activation: After confirmation
    Refunds
    • Processing: 1-2 business days
    • Bank credit: 3-10 business days
    • Varies by payment method and bank

    Transaction Security

    Your payment information is secure:

    • PCI DSS compliant processing
    • Encrypted transmission
    • No full card numbers stored
    • Tokenized payment methods
    • Fraud detection systems

    Record Keeping

    Best practices:

    • Download receipts regularly
    • Export transactions monthly/quarterly
    • Save for tax purposes (7 years recommended)
    • File digitally for easy retrieval
    • Keep backup copies
