Zoiper setup
Step-by-step SIP config for Zoiper desktop / mobile.
Get your SIP endpoint creds first (overview).
Desktop (Windows / macOS)
- Open Zoiper → Settings → Accounts → Add account.
- Account type: SIP.
- Fields:
- Domain:
your-acct.sip.suzko.net - Username: endpoint username
- Password: endpoint password
- Authentication username: same as username
- Outbound proxy: leave blank
- Domain:
- Transport: TLS (recommended) or UDP.
- Save. Zoiper attempts registration.
Mobile (iOS / Android)
Same fields, different UI:
- Settings → Accounts → Add account → Manual configuration
- Pick SIP
- Fill in the same fields above
- Save
Verifying
Check the account list — green dot = registered. Tap your number and call any other phone (your cell) to verify outbound. Then call your Suzko number from your cell to verify inbound.
Common issues
- Stuck on "Connecting" — wrong domain or creds. Double-check against the SIP endpoint page in your Suzko dashboard.
- One-way audio — firewall blocking inbound RTP. Open UDP ports 10000–20000 inbound, or use TLS transport (we tunnel RTP through the SRTP/SIPS channel).
- No outbound — endpoint might not have outbound calling enabled. Check the endpoint settings in the dashboard.
Codec preferences
For best quality, set Zoiper's codec list (top of the audio preferences):
- Opus
- G.722
- G.711 / PCMU
Drop iLBC and G.729 unless you specifically need them — they're old and lower-quality.
