Using NameLab (AI domain search)
Generating creative domain ideas with AI.
NameLab is the AI-assisted domain search at /domains/namelab. Give it a sentence about your project and it generates a list of available domains.
How to use it
- Describe what you're building: "a saas platform for veterinary clinics to manage appointments".
- Optional: set tone (playful, professional, minimalist), target TLDs, length preference.
- Hit Generate.
- Results stream in. Each comes with an explanation of the name choice and live availability for the TLDs we checked.
What it does well
- Made-up names that sound like a real brand.
- Combinations of relevant words you wouldn't have thought of.
- Filtering toward genuinely available — it cross-checks each suggestion before showing it.
What it's not great at
- Premium-name detection. It might suggest something that's available but priced as a registry premium.
- Brand uniqueness. We don't trademark-check; that's on you.
- Reading minds. The more specific the prompt, the better the output.
Saving + sharing
Click the heart on any suggestion to save it to your list. Saved suggestions persist across sessions on the same account. There's no public sharing — saved lists are yours.
Regenerating
Hit Generate again to get a fresh set with the same prompt. The AI doesn't repeat itself (it's seeded with the previous results to avoid overlap).
