Creating mailboxes
Add a mailbox, set the password, share access.
Add a mailbox
/tools/business-email → Mailboxes → New mailbox.
- Address — the part before
@. Soinfoforinfo@yourdomain.com. - Domain — pick from your attached domains.
- Password — 12+ chars. We generate one if you click the generator.
- Quota — disk quota per plan. Default is the plan max.
- Display name — what appears on outbound mail (e.g. "Support Team").
Create. Mailbox is live within seconds.
Sharing access
Two ways:
Same person, multiple devices:
- Send the credentials to their phone + laptop. They configure IMAP on each.
Multiple people, one inbox:
- Same mailbox, same password, multiple IMAP clients. Mail syncs across all of them via IMAP.
- Or: alias / distribution list — see below.
Aliases vs distribution lists vs forwards
| Type | Use case |
|---|---|
| Mailbox | A real account someone signs into. Has its own storage. |
| Alias | support@ → real-mailbox@. No own storage. One delivery destination. |
| Distribution list | team@ → multiple mailboxes. Each gets a copy. |
| Forward | oldname@ → external@gmail.com. No own storage; outbound to a non-Suzko address. |
Add via the Aliases / Forwards / Lists tabs.
Resetting a password
Mailboxes → click the mailbox → Reset password. Old password stops working immediately; tell whoever uses it.
Removing a mailbox
Mailboxes → click the mailbox → Delete. Mailbox + all its stored mail is gone. There's no undo and no separate backup — download anything you want first.
